GINGER APPLE BREAKFAST SAUSAGE的做法  

  1. 1 small onion

    4 cloves garlic

    1 small green apple

    1 pound (454 g) ground pork

    2 tsp (6 g) grated fresh ginger, peeled

    1 tsp (3 g) garlic powder

    ¾ tsp ginger powder

    ½ tsp thyme

    1 tsp (3 g) oregano

    1 tsp (3 g) salt

    1 tsp (3 g) pepper

    2 tbsp (30 ml) coconut oil, lard or ghee

  2. Finely dice the onion, garlic and green apple and place in a mixing bowl. Place the ground pork into the mixing bowl along with the grated ginger and the remaining ingredients—garlic powder, ginger powder, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper—except for the oil. Use a large wooden spoon or your hands to mix.

  3. Once all the ingredients are mixed together, form palm-sized patties of the pork mixture. You can either pan-fry the sausages or bake them. To pan fry, heat up 2 tablespoon (30 ml) of coconut oil, lard or ghee in a pan on medium-high heat. Place the patties in the pan and cook for about 5 minutes on each side until cooked all the way through or until a meat thermometer place through the middle of the patty reads 140°F (60°C).

  4. To bake, place the patties on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake at 350°F (180°C, or gas mark 4) for 25 to 30 minutes, flipping halfway through.
