carrots | 2 |
Do chua / Vietnamese carrot pickle的做法
julienne 2 carrots
sprinkle salt to let water out of the carrots
gently squeeze water away from carrots and move them into a container (no oil!)
boil 1/2 cup water, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1.5 tbsp vinegar
let it cool a bit then pour into the containermarinate for 3h or overnight before serving
小贴士
if want more Chinese flavored pickle, could add some chopped chili pepper and garlic slices
